Mystical Bible Interpretation:
Have you ever read the Bible and wondered why 40 years in the desert was
important or how is that Enoch lives to be 777 years old (even by the
lunar calender this would be an extraordinary feat) or why being a
shepherd seems to appease God?
Well
the reason is that some of the books of the Bible especially Genesis,
The Book of Daniel, The Gospel of John and The Revelation have been
encoded using Gematria
- which is part of the Literal Qabalah (Kabbalah). Gematria is a
form of Hebrew numerology that uses numerical values of the letters of
the Hebrew alphabet. Names or words are converted into numbers in
order to find hidden meanings. There has been further encoding
using a system of analogical (symbolic) stories where a "slave" means
something which you have mastered such as speaking many languages as
opposed to a person enslaved by you and this is what I will be listing
below, so here are some symbols that may "give you eyes to see and ears
to hear" Remember that we are speaking about parts of yourself, the
father part of you or the slave part of you and so on it is in no way
gender specific or biased.
- A Father: The source of your thoughts or self and the things you put into action.
- Wife: A wife represents your intuition, being married to your intuition means that you are in harmony with life and God.
- Sons: Represent your thoughts in action, sons are the active principle or the execution of your ideas good or bad.
- Daughters: Represent your passive feedback from your thoughts and actions, it is almost like the finger on the pulse type idea.
- Slave/Servant: Are talents and abilities that you have control over, such as your mind, finances and emotions.
- Masters/Kings: Are things or people that have control over you, such as finances, guilt, fear and so on.
- Mountains: Are higher levels of consciousness and awareness.
- Valleys: Represent a depressed state of being.
- Wilderness:
Are hostile places such as war torn towns and cities or abusive
neighbours and even abusive partners. The wilderness usually precedes
the desert in many of the stories and it is a time where we become
aware of the shortcomings and vindictiveness of people.
- Desert:
Is a place of solitude and reflection, here we must overcome our fear
of being alone and isolated. It is usually during this time that we
have to confront our demons and quite often we can encounter the
Divine. The desert is a place of transformation which always takes a
period of "40".
- A Well:
Are usually found in the "desert" place and it represents a time
when we draw on our own deepest resources and transform ourselves from
the inside out - we go within and discover the Philosophers' Stone.
Notice how often a "Shepherd" goes into the wilderness or a
desert, finds a well, meets a woman at the well, marries her (wife) and
goes on to achieve great things...
- A Shepherd:
There is a reason why shepherds seem to commune with God more often
that any other profession - apart from the Prophets - and that is
because a shepherd represents the intuitive or receptive mind. Sheep
without a shepherd will wander aimlessly, fall down cliffs, get eaten
by lions and wolves. Well sheep are just like thoughts, our thoughts
can also get distracted, killed, abused and misguided but, when we
shepherd our thoughts we are meditators, we master our mind, we do not
allow our thoughts to be misguided or led astray. The old saying
"Prayer is talking to God and Meditation is listening to God"
illustrates what being a shepherd is, by listening to God we are
essentially guided by God.
- A Virgin:
Refers only to a state of mind and not necessarily the body, with
"virgin" consciousness we are without judgement, bias or filters e.g.
If I read the Bible as an Agnostic then I filter out (ignore) the
uncomfortable parts however when I read the Scriptures with a
"virgin" or open mind the text then reveals the truth.
- A Prostitute:
Is a person whom has "been with" the Lords of the Earth or Alternative
Lovers such as; Fame, Fortune, Glory, Lust, Power, Status, Work,
Career, Money and so on. A prostitute recognises the fact the we have
had or have all of these things but, we are still not happy, complete
or fulfilled; it is usually at this time we enter into the "Dark Night
of the Soul" (The Desert) and either become "virgin" again or we are
destroyed by the Lords of the Earth.
Once again I must urge you to remember that you as a man or a woman can
represent any or all of the above characters or experiences. I
hope that the above explanation will give you some insight into the
stories of the Old and New Testaments, I have only covered the very
basics here but, if you study the numerical interpretations, a whole
new world will open up for you, and the Bible will truly come alive
even in the mystical sense of the Word.
